The Vision for Salem Church
The vision for Salem is three-fold. Family, community and spiritual growth are areas in which we want to excel. For 200 years Salem has had strong families lead and guide the congregation. We still hold on to this virtue today. Families are important to the growth and sustainability of the church. Children are especially treasured at Salem. We want to teach children from a very early age the love of Christ and all the blessings he has for them.
Salem is centered in a close and rural community. We seek to bring people together from different backgrounds and even denominations to help bring the community together spiritually. Everyone is welcome to come and worship with us. We want to be a church that is a little different than the mainstream but warm and inviting to anyone. Our belief is to help those around us who are in need whether financially, physically or spiritually.
Spiritual growth is the catalyst that ties the vision together. Without it we are stagnant. Families and the community would not be able to grow at Salem. We teach how to build faith through the Word of God and the sacraments resulting in a sanctified life. We desire for every believer to be filled with the Spirit and walk in the Gifts and fruits of the Spirit for a life of supernatural empowerment. Devotion and dedication to these truths and the teaching of them will lead us to be not just a good church but a GREAT church.
